Dino Roar Valley features custom curriculum for school groups and camps that will have an educational component aligned with the NYS Education Department’s Next Generation Learning Standards and the NYS P-12 Science Learning Standards. A CHANGING WORLD

Geology, the study of rocks shows that Earth and life on it have long histories. If you could go back to the time of the dinosaurs, life would look very different. The continental divide created new environments for these creatures allowing them to spread to every corner of the globe, leading to the distribution of dinosaur fossils all over the world!

CLUES FROM THE PAST

Fossils provide valuable clues of plant and animal life from millions of years ago! These remains have been preserved in mud, sand, and gravel, providing paleontologists the opportunity to study and interpret their findings. They are then able to fit the pieces of these puzzles together to solve the mysteries of the past.

Digging Up History

Paleontologists learn about ancient life from studying fossils that provide insight into behavior and biology of dinosaurs. These experts and others in the field work together to reconstruct these prehistoric skeletons and bring them to life for all to see!
